EMU Route Plan Optimization by Integrating Trains from Different Periods

In recent years, the government of China has paid increasing attention to environmental protection issues and frequently emphasized importance ecological civilization. The high-speed railway transportation mode outstanding advantages in terms land utilization, energy conservation protection. China’s networking features are increasingly prominent constructed based on rapid passenger transport network. Additionally, they save resources environmentally friendly while meeting safety, punctuality profitability standards. Electric multiple unit (EMU) routing plan optimization is an important issue for improving operational EMU efficiency reducing costs. At present, Chinese plans holidays weekdays prepared separately because holiday train timetable requires more EMUs maintenance tasks. Different integrative measures considered, a model integrate optimized weekday problem minimize used proposed branch-and-price algorithm, real-world case study conducted. numerical experiment shows that amount can be reduced some extent through integrated tasks, but it difficult reduce number due structure timetable.
